Food in Jars author, food blogger and canning extraordinaire Marisa McClellan will be at the Callowhill Whole Foods tonight until 7 p.m.! Why is this so exciting, you ask? Well, because this book just landed on Be Well Philly’s doorstep, and we’re so super psyched about it. If you’re interested in canning and don’t know where to start (like us), here’s your chance. McClellan will demonstrate on the basics of water bath canning by whipping up a batch of strawberry vanilla jam from start to end. Shoppers will get the chance to sample the jam, witness the process of canning, and purchase books, which McClellan can sign.
