To Do: The Color Run

Probably the most fun you'll have running a 5K all summer

Here’s how the Color Run works: You start with a pristine white T-shirt and end looking like you just crawled out of a Crayola-factory explosion. At every kilometer, race volunteers and staff blast the runners with a different color so by the end they’re all running rainbows. The 5K is more about having a ball while getting covered in magic color dust (okay, they won’t tell us what it is exactly on their website, so I’m guessing here) than it is about speed, so all levels of runners and walkers are encouraged to participate. It looks like it’s going to be one of the most fun—and definitely the most colorful—5Ks to hit Philly this summer. Register for the July 8th race and learn more here.

$40 before April 15, $45 before May 1, $50 before June 1; race day is Sunday, July 8th, Fairmount Park.
