To Do: Lecture, Book Signing with Born to Run Author Christopher McDougall

Head to the Penn Museum for some running inspiration.

National best-selling author Christopher McDougall of Born to Run acclaim will make an appearance in University City on April 11th for a book signing and lecture at the Penn Museum. The lecture ties in to the museum’s current exhibit, “Run! Super Athletes of the Sierra Madre,” which just went on display last week. But the timing of the lecture is especially poignant: News came out earlier this week that 58-year-old ultramarathon runner Micah True, who was featured in Born to Run, was found dead in Gila National Forest in New Mexico. The event gets underway at 6 p.m.; admission is $5. More details are here.

$5, Wednesday, April 11th at 6 p.m., Penn Museum, 3260 South Street, University City.
