Try: The YSC Tour de Pink

Gear up for a three-day ride that benefits young breast-cancer survivors

Ride to battle breast cancer at the YSC Tour de Pink

Ride the three-day Tour de Pink, “the East Coast’s premiere bike tour for breast cancer awareness,” to aid the Philadelphia chapter of the Young Survival Coalition. Since 1998, the YSC has created an extensive support network for survivors of breast cancer under 40, and this annual ride is just one of many ways they raise funds and get the community involved. The ride begins in Morristown and covers 61 miles into Princeton. Day two features either a 62- or 100-mile ride through Bucks County, and day three completes the tour with a 50-mile stretch into Long Branch, where a beach picnic awaits finishers. To get more info about the event (and score 50 percent off registration) check out their free group ride this Saturday, August 20th, at Cadence Cycling on Main Street in Manayunk.

Group fun ride and info session: Free, August 20, 9 a.m., Cadence Cycling and Multisport Centers, 4323 Main Street. YSC Tour de Pink: $99 (plus fundraising), September 23-25, Hyatt Morristown, 3 Speedwell Avenue, Morristown.
