On Saturday, May 8th, the Union League of Philadelphia will host a Blue Hydrangea Tea Party to benefit The Melanie Finley Ovarian Cancer Foundation.  Each year on the Saturday before Mothers' Day, women across the country gather in small groups to have tea and learn about the disease. Guests are invited to wear a wild and wacky hat to the socially conscious soiree which includes a traditional high tea, champagne, hors d'oeuvres, a silent auction and Pileggi boutique fashion show. In addition to an original hat design contest, prizes will be awarded to the best period piece, most glamorous and the best international flair hat reflecting a distinct cultural heritage.  All proceeds will benefit the foundation.
