Ticket Alert: Tina, the Pumpkins and Yes (Sort of)

To avoid scalpers and Craigslist scams, consult this handy guide to the shows soon to go on sale ...

By Victor Fiorillo

The well-gammed Tina Turner comes to the Spectrum on Saturday, November 29th — a show strangely sponsored by Amway. Tickets actually went on sale a week or so ago. Sorry, I forgot to mention it. The good news is that seats are still available, from $26.50 to $175.

Is it really possible that the Smashing Pumpkins have been around for 20 years? Dear Lord. They seem to have a love 'em or hate 'em thing going on, so if you're feelings slant towards the former, pick up tickets this Saturday at 10 a.m. for their Saturday, November 8th, show at the Borgata. $75.

And, finally, from the Department of You've Got to Know When To Fold 'Em, I bring you Yes, the 70s supergroup that recently replaced lead singer Jon Anderson. The only reason that Yes' silly lyrics work is because Jon Anderson is a silly little elfen man with a silly little voice. They play Hershey on November 11th and Reading on the 18th, so Philly might just be spared. Tickets for both shows go on sale this Saturday at 10 a.m.
