The Dead and Obama: FOX News Should Have a Field Day

The Grateful Dead dead reuniting for an Obama benefit?

By Victor Fiorillo

It's just been confirmed that the Grateful Dead, or should I say the Grateful Dead minus patriarch Jerry Garcia (who has been dead for 13 years, if you can believe that), is reuniting for an Obama benefit on October 13th. Though the location had been rumored to be Philadelphia or Pittsburgh, it turns out that organizers have decided to split the difference and call it State College. In a move that should lose them a few of their Confederate flag-flying south of the Mason-Dixon fans, the Allman Brothers Band has agreed to open. Ticket info when I get it ...

To get you all in the mood, here's a clip of the Dead (with Jerry) performing "Dire Wolf" at the Spectrum in 1986.

Obamma & the Dead

Exactly "The Dead" leave them in the past where they belong. I am 50 years old and can't believe these old men have to get involved with today's politics. The times have changed and let us encourage our students to also chnage with the times of today. These rock groups have absolutely nothing of value to give our young adults of today. Barrack Obbama keeps screaming about how he is going to "Change" America. Really he is just repeating the past with all these 60's anti Vietnam stuff. Please just let it GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Old Men?

"Hi. I'm John McCain and I resent the term 'old men' being used to describe men who are younger than myself. And even though Barack Obama is nothing but an angry leftist community organizer, I still feel that you owe him the respect to at least correctly spell his radical Muslim name correctly. I mean, really, who the f#*! do you think you are you stupid #%nt? My wife? Speaking of my wife, do you think I could get your number? We could meet up for a drink or ten later on so I can *@ng you when she's in one of her narcotic stupors. What she won't know wont hurt her, or me for that matter. Those d@!! pre-nups leave me with nothing!" This ad has been approved by the Campaign to Re-elect George W. Bush

You know that The Dead will bring in the money for Barak and that's what is needed at hand. So for you closed minded folk, maybe you should look at the bigger picture.
