Do This Now: The Zoo

By Victor Fiorillo

While it might seem counterintuitive to visit the Philadelphia Zoo in the dead of winter, I can tell you by personal experience (went last weekend) that it's a great time to go. Obviously, you'll tend to stick to the indoor exhibits — most of the outdoor ones are closed for the season anyway — but there's something to be said for hanging out with the gorillas all afternoon without having busloads of bratty school kids and their nerve-racked chaperones to contend with (they're all across the park at the hermetically sealed Please Touch).
