When Erin Jackson opened Chez Georgette last fall in West Chester’s bustling downtown, she wanted to provide Philly-area brides with an alternative to bar-code-gunning big-name brands at big-name chains with less than personal help. Her answer: a darling home accessories boutique in the front of the shop, and a private registry room in the back, where she’ll help you choose among gorgeous boutique—and often European—lines that not a single one of your friends has in her cabinets. (And yes, there’s a Web component for out-of-town guests.) Bonus: Wedding planner Maggie McIntosh has set up shop in the back room, where she’ll offer her services, Wedding 101 seminars, and events to introduce you to other amazing local vendors. Cantini charger, dinner and salad plates by Trinitate, handmade by artisans in a Mexican town of the same name. $109 for a nine-piece plate setting, and matching creamer, $8, all at Chez Georgette, 129 West Market Street, West Chester, 610-431-2829, chezgeorgette.com.
