THE SALE REPORT: Passyunk Pops up in Rittenhouse and Valentine’s Day

Our latest batch of reasons to get out there and shop

Pop-Up Passyunk Shopping Event in Rittenhouse
If you haven’t been able to get yourself over to South Philly to see what all the fuss over East Passyunk Ave. is about, you’ll get your chance for a taste of it this weekend, when the shops that make up this ever-growing neighborhood come together for a sort of pop-up neighborhood in Rittenhouse, today through Sunday. Look for JimmyStyle, Urban Jungle, Sweet Jane Vintage, Fringe Salon, Green Aisle Grocery, and lots more. (And bring some cash: Not all stores will be able to take plastic during this event.)
16th Street and Walnut Street

Friday February 12 and Saturday February 13, 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.; Sunday February 14, 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Northern Liberties: Romancing The Walk
Through Valentine’s Day, the shops and restaurants (think Beautiful Blooms, Eclatante, Bar Ferdinand, Chez Bow Wow, Tu Belleza Studio and more) along charming Liberties Walk are offering various goodies all day long, from discounts and deals to champagne and sweet treats while you shop.

Fresh Ayer: Winter Sale
One of our fave stores for generously sized apparel is holding a sale all this week — find fall and winter styles between 50 and 80 percent off, clearance denim up to 75 percent off, 30 percent off all accessories, $15 pashminas, and a $14.99 to $29.99 rack — and wrapping it up on Saturday the 20th with a Svoboda trunk show. Come by then to meet designer Jessica Svoboda and check out her fab new spring 2010 collection.

Philadelphia Premium Outlets: President’s Day Weekend Sale
There will be even more discounts than usual at these expansive outlets this weekend — at stores like Coach, Cole Haan, Sony, Calvin Klein, Michael Kors, and more — plus extended hours through Monday.

Lush: Valentine’s Event
They’re celebrating Valentine’s Day early at the Walnut Street outpost of this sudsy retailer, with music, demos, snacks, games and prizes all day long on Saturday. If you buy a wrapped gift over $40, you’ll also get a free massage bar of your choice while supplies last.

Nordstrom: Bvlgari Fragrance Event
To celebrate their newest fragrance, Jasmin Noir, Bvlgari is holding a Love Notes event at the Cherry Hill Nordstrom through the weekend. Make an appointment in cosmetics, and you’ll get a hand massage from a Bvlgari expert, a “love note” Italian postcard, and a free mini bottle of the new perfume with any Jasmin Noir purchase.
