Two years ago, Danny Seo confessed. Quietly, subtly, the 32-year-old guru of eco-living — who parlayed an environmental-activist adolescence into a career that includes greening-over starlets, turning found objects into TV- and magazine-worthy craft projects, authoring gorgeous lifestyle how-to books, and, most recently, launching Wholearth, an organic bath and beauty line — owned up to a serious case of ordinary, everyday, run-of-the-materialistic-mill home lust. The object of his real estate affection: an artist-built Mid-Century Modern dwelling tucked on a wooded hill just outside Doylestown. After a months-long “total gut job” on the house, Seo has been able to get down to doing what he does best. With flea-market finds, family heirlooms and high-tech touches, he’s fashioned a modern but cozy dwelling that’s absolutely lust-worthy, laudably green — and thoroughly attainable.
