The newest addition to Philly’s home-decor scene is Metro Living, the second storefront from Urban Decor owners John Lloyd and Ed Williams, featuring a unique collection of transitional and modern furnishings. Try the funky Plaza Chair — a 1940s retro with ottoman that comes in 70 different leathers ($1,695) — or the traditional electric fireplace, in 10 styles with 25 different wood finishes ($950-$1,800).
Recent Philadelphia Art Institute grad Eric Fisher has created a one-stop fashion haven for men in Stitch. The Old City casual menswear boutique features the ever-popular Theory line ($595 for a crushed-velvet jacket), Teara Plana shoes ($276 for leather ankle boots), and the chic, simple Blend black zip-up hoodie ($82), as well as Joes Jeans, Steelo, John Bartlett and other hot designers.
