With the opening of SA VA in Center City, Philly entrepreneur Sarah Van Aken proves that her design skills are as impressive as her business acumen. She’s gone from making bespoke men’s dress shirts to designing custom restaurant uniforms to this: a new Rittenhouse boutique where her women’s apparel is sold by event, so you’ll find a hot pink glittery top in the “Night Out” section and a zipper-cuff blazer on the “Workday” rack, as well as leather hobo bags from JPK and candles from Manuel Canovas.
