Rip-Off of the Month

The Police. Kevin Mazur/Wire Images
Buying tickets to this month’s Police concert at the Wachovia Center? For many shows at the Wachovia, ComcastTix is now the official source for tix, and it charges even more than the universally loathed Ticketmaster. On ComcastTix, a terrible seat for the Police will set you back $90, plus a $14 charge designated simply as “Fee,” plus another $3.50 “Order Charge” — an almost 20 percent markup. (Ticketmaster comes in at just over 15 percent for the same seats at Madison Square Garden.) With this kind of gouging, you’d think they could at least keep the bathrooms clean.

Comcast tix rip off

COMMENT:
Agreed. Comcast has found another income stream of ripping people off. You would think that competition with Ticketmaster would help the high priced ticket market, but not now. I just hope Verizon eats Comcast's cable lunch. It wouldn't be that bad if they actually attempted to provided a decent product.
