Chatter: Star Gazing

By Richard Rys

Demi Moore, Jennifer Aniston, Parker Posey — Center City has looked like Hollywood East lately. And now there’s a new place to stalk celebs, thanks to Rick’s Cabaret, the Texas-based behemoth that bought South Philly’s beleaguered Crazy Horse Too strip club for just under $8 mil. The chain’s best asset doesn’t wear a thong (we hope): Lonnie Hanover, the publicist who helped rival club Scores become a national brand on The Howard Stern Show and a draw for everyone from Lindsay Lohan to Sting, has carried Stern’s imprimatur over to Rick’s. “I have a lot of friendships with celebrities,” says Hanover. “They’ll follow me to Rick’s.” Apparently so: Not long after its April debut, the club got a nod in the New York Post after Owen Wilson reportedly dropped by for lap-based entertainment.
