As if we needed further proof that the SSE (Stephen Starr Effect) is growing, Kimpton Hotels, the San Francisco-based hotelier whose sleek holdings include the Morrison House in Virginia, along with boutique properties in Boston, Dallas, Chicago, New York and D.C., is following on the heels of the W and coming to Philly. While Kimpton execs are coy on details, city sources confirm the company will convert the historic Architects Building at 17th and Sansom, where tenants have already been notified they have to get out by the end of the month.
