Chatter: Brooke De la Villanova: High Society

By Brooke De la Villanova

By Adrian Valencia
You couldn’t tell it was winter from the slinky metallic number Patricia DiGeorge (so gorg!) shimmied around in at the eighth annual Champagne & Snow Ball, co-hosted by her hubby, real estate mogul Christopher (who bears an odd resemblance to the author Christopher Hitchens), and hedge-fund honcho Robert Marcin. Among the 250 joining Tish’s dangerous curves and killer blow-out were John Westrum, Thom Cardwell, and the increasingly socially ubiquitous Mary Patel. ... Super-glam ex-model Dasha Yermakova (who just split with hubby Jason Klein) is bringing her Miss Universe-worthy name and rising-star status on the charity circuit to town, trading in her Gladwyne address for new digs on Rittenhouse Square. … Recession, dumplings? Evidently the folks at Penn (Edgar’s alma mater) didn’t get the memo. Their invites for an “Around the World by Private Jet” tour next November trumpet a month-long sojourn to Machu Picchu, the Great Barrier Reef and the pyramids, among other places, complete with chef, staff, even a doctor. All for a tidy $56,950 per person. Can’t wait to hand in that expense report!
