Brooke De la Villanova: High Society

Say what you want about the French — they know how to throw a party. The Art After Dark soiree at the Perelman Building was doused in crème brûlée, berets and can-can dancers, along with ladies’ hats the size of small aircraft. Erin Miller of Delicious Corsets even showed up with her wares, which guests, channeling their inner Lady Marmalades, were allowed to try on. And the social stars turned out: the Gerry Lenfests, Leah Popowich and Andrew Hohns (who at auction bought a French gown made of … paper!), designer Barbara Eberlein, and dashing Kelly family scion Christopher LeVine. But our attention was fixed on jewelry maven Kate Egan, looking ethereal in emerald green and chatting with gal pal Stefanie Lutzo of Adresse boutique. Magnifique! … A sign the housing market may be thawing: Fox 29 siren Jennaphr Frederick has reportedly snapped up new digs in — where else? — Gladwyne, hotbed of local news glamarazzi. Edgar, I’m ready for my close-up!
