Philadelphia Eagles Owner Christina Lurie Once Squeezed Through The Dog Door

The Oscar-winning film producer, Eagles partner and, oh yeah, ex-wife of Jeffrey Lurie on her trips to Haiti, her iPad Air, and her penchant for tequila. Good tequila.

My name is … Christina, a.k.a. Christina Weiss Lurie. I’m definitely keeping the Lurie. It’s who I am.

I am a … film producer, Eagles limited partner and dog lover.

I live in … Philadelphia. Well, the Main Line, but I consider it part of the city. I’ve been here for over two decades.

My divorce was … very amicable.

If I weren’t doing this … I would be sailing around the world.

The prettiest spot in Philadelphia is … the Barnes. And Lincoln Financial Field, of course.

One accessory I can’t do without would be … my shoes.

My last trip overseas … was to Cartagena, a family vacation. Actually, most recent was Haiti. I support a lower middle school in the slums of Port-au-Prince. It has about 300 students.

If you want to take me out to dinner … there are just so many great choices. I like all the Vetri restaurants, all the Garces restaurants, all the Starr restaurants. And Vernick Food & Drink. Then there are all the great places in South Philadelphia. So many great places to eat.

The first concert I ever went to … was the Rolling Stones in the Netherlands.

My junk food obsession is … Twizzlers. In second place, Raisinets.

I was born in … Mexico City. My dad watched The Treasure of the Sierra Madre and decided he wanted to be Humphrey Bogart and buy gold, so he went to Mexico. My mother was on vacation in Mexico. They met, and married two weeks later.

My next movie … will hopefully be a horror movie called Rupture. It will be my first horror film. Under Tango Films, we’re developing 10 or 12 projects. In the documentary world, I’m in the middle of one on dishonesty.

If you really want to annoy me … give me those gifts that come from catalogs and that you then have to assemble.

When I was 16 years old … I snuck out of my parents’ house via the dog door to go clubbing.

My secret talent is … canning fruits and vegetables.

If you’re making me a cocktail … it has to have good tequila in it.

To sum up the movie business … you run, and then you wait.

My kids are always telling me … that I’m the only one who laughs at my jokes.

Money is … a gift.

I’ve always wanted to visit … Bhutan. Any country with a Gross National Happiness Commission instead of one on military buildup—to me, that exemplifies the wave of the future.

On Sunday mornings … I love watching Fareed Zakaria on CNN.

The best Eagle of all time is … Brian Dawkins. You just can’t re-create his talent and leadership traits.

My most prized material possession is … my new iPad Air. I can’t leave home without it.

When my friends ask me if I’ll marry again … I say definitely not. I don’t know. Maybe.
