COMMENT:
I loved this article and found your choices of candidates to be inspiring. I especially enjoyed the article on Andy Reid and found the picture of the ballerina Barette Vance to be abosultely gorgeous. I am going to have to go to the ballet this year to see her dance. I am sure she must be amazing as she looks extremely graceful and elegant in the photo. Is she single?

I saw this porcelain doll dance the Dew Drop over the holidays. She was perfection in motion. I have never seen such balance and skill in such a young dancer. She is one to watch for sure. I hope PAB knows what a jewel they have.

Barette is one of the most beautiful dancers I've ever had the pleasure of watching. Her jumps are amazing and her turns are tight and precise. She WILL be the next face of PAB undoubtedly-she will be the next Principal!! Good job B!

COMMENT:
The story of Barette was a very inspiring one, especially the struggle she encountered after her injury. It shows that you really can accomplish your dreams and overcome obstacles if you put your heart, soul and every ounce of your being into it. I've never seen Barette dance, but I can only imagine how wonderful she is. Congratulations on your accomplishments Barette! You are an inspiration to us all!

I have never seen Barette dance either but I have been a fan of hers for many years now from seeing her pictures in the “Discount Dance Supply” catalog. So I was very excited to see her story in Philadelphia Magazine. She has been an inspiration to me and I hope that one day I am a great dancer like her. Thanks for sharing her story with us.

I recently moved to Philadelphia from the Seattle area and as a result of reading this article I went to see Pennsylvania Ballet's Nutcracker this holiday. I have to say that Ms Vance truly brought me to tears. She is one of the finest dancers I have ever had the pleasure of watching and I am certainly looking forward to seeing her in other Pennsylvania Ballet productions this year.

What a fabulous couple! Move over Brad and Angelina. It so nice to hear about celebrities caring about something other then themselves. I love them. The animals are so lucky to have them on their sides.

I agree that Raw Leiba is a fantastic Actor and Yes he is from Philadephia, but plesse dont make this a racial issue,i agree that he should be written about especially by Philadelphia Magazine,i am a Latina female in jounalism school at Temple University and i love this magazine and i just want to head off what might be perceived as a racial exclusion cause Raw Leiba is Latino, remember Alba Martinez is on the list.

COMMENT:
Why don't you readers concentrate on the people who are on the list as opposed to who got left off.Raw Leiba is a good actor not great,i mean is he as good as Denzel Washington or Robert De Niro, when i saw him om MTV's TRL show,he said his idle was Denzel and he hoped to be like him ,lets focus on the people the magazine picked and their accomplishments and stop making a big stink about nothing.

I was so happy to see Terry Gillen listed as one of the people mentioned. She is so intelligent, articulate, and genuinely cares about Philly and the world! What an inspiration to women! Why doesn't she hold higher public office!?
