One charity I did not see mention in your top 92 great local charities to give to is Crossing the Finish Line. Crossing the Finish Line (CFL) provides young adult cancer patients and their families a retreat from the unyielding physical and emotional demands of cancer by providing a one week, expense paid "excursion"in a comfortable, secrure environment. The charity was planned by a young man Peter Bossow who died of cancer when he was only 30 years old, his wife began and continues his dream to helping young adults with cancer.
