The members of Ladysmith Black Mambazo

You know their sound from Paul Simon’s groundbreaking Graceland recording and those Life Savers commercials, but the South African male a cappella group has since come into their own, winning two Grammys and recording with everyone
from Dolly Parton to George Clinton of P-Funk fame. At this midday concert at the Kimmel — which, it should be noted, starts at precisely the same time that the Patriots commence their clobbering of the Chargers — Ladysmith Black Mambazo will perform harmony-rich songs from their new CD, Ilembe: Honoring Shaka Zulu (released January 15th), as well as from their vast repertoire (just one request: No Life Savers! Please!).

Want to win a free pair of tickets? E-mail me by 11 a.m. on Friday. The winner will be announced on phillymag.com in The Weekender.
