It may be racking up national attention, but Save 2nd Base was born right here. Co-founders Erin O’Brien Dugery and Kelly Day started the nonprofit after Erin’s sister and Kelly’s friend, Kelly Rooney, died from breast cancer. Inspired by the phrase she coined as she fought the disease, they’ve created 11 products featuring the junior-high-slang logo. Buy the original pink tee, new baseball cap or fridge magnets, to raise money and awareness — and giggles.
