Fitness: Beyond Spandex

By Janine White

Our blood pressure just got a little lower thanks to the mix of soothingly stylish and flattering yoga-inspired athletic apparel at the new Lululemon Athletica showroom in Center City. The Vancouver-based company’s clothing design focuses on function (its proprietary fabric, Luon, is moisture-wicking and fast-drying), yet still allows yogis, dancers and gym-goers to feel smokin’ hot (not just sweaty hot). And, with complimentary hemming, petite athletes no longer have to drag their cuffs along city sidewalks (1704 Walnut Street, third floor, 215-735-2431, lululemon.com).
