Good Life Daily: Sweet Repeat
By Lauren McCutcheon
You know how, despite yourself, every time you hear a certain word or phrase, you can’t help but get a song stuck in your head?
Example #1: I can’t phone, email or even think of my friend Veronica without subconsciously singing and re-singing Elvis Costello’s circa '89 hit that shares her forename (and my friend V. is NOTHING like the little old lady in the song).
Example #2: Each afternoon when I spritz myself with a refreshing, mysterious mist of 100 percent natural and organic ilang-ilang eau de parfum by Bucks County-based perfumer Tsi-La, the Fugees’ highly addictive “Fu-Gee-La” starts a continuous loop through my consciousness.
And now that this amazingly au naturel perfume comes in a convenient (and pretty) 16 ML travel size — small enough to pass airport security — I’m sure I’ll be singing along with the Lauryn Hill in my head throughout the rest of my summer adventures.
“Oooh la la la, it's the way that we rock when we're doing our thang …”
