Hold the phone, Tom McGrath. Which Phillies fans have you been speaking to?! You must not have been polling any season ticket holding Phillies fan that I know, including myself. In addition, you obviously have not been watching Phillies baseball over the past year and a half.

First, I am not OK with J Roll running his mouth which he's done multiple times. Here is why: when we all do a terrible job at work, we hear about it. So when Jimmy and the team's game goes on a prolonged slump, they will hear about it. Deal with it; if you don;t like it there are plenty of other non-multimillion dollar paying jobs out there. He should take a lesson from Pat Burrell in that if you are not playing well offensively, suck it up and focus on yourself. PB never lashed out at fans (or at least not that I can think of) when he was not producing.

Philadelphia sports fans have a reputation for being tough on their players. It comes with just cause as we hold our players accountable when they don't play and heavily reward them with praise and endearment when they do. It would be wise of Jimmy and all athletes to remember that it is the fan who ultimately pays their salary.

In sum, I am truly OK with an article on J Roll; I only ask that you get an accurate assessment of what the true Phillies fans think before publishing an assumption.
