OMG! Sheil, i just stumbled onto this site for the 1st time, and all I can say is where the hell you been all my life? excellent work! In a matter of moments, this has become my #1 go to site for eagles coverage..Amazing work, keep it up, you just made my day!
This game is so important to the eagles! They win this game, and it will really validate the work they have put in. Win this game and every single player in your locker room will completly buy into the system. With this game, Castillo can validate himself..Vick and the offensive coaches can put last weeks poor effort behind them. I really cant remember the last time an eagles game in week 2 was so ridiculously important! You lose this game in week 2, and its not the end of the world, but if you win this game, it can spring board you to a good season!
Lucky me, I have the daunting task of deciding if Im gonna start Torry smith this week, when he will most likely be matched up with DRC, who I believe will prove to be one of the top 3 eagles THIS YEAR! Start Torry smith vs. the eagles and DRC or Stephen Hill?
Speaking of defenses, the 3 headed monster is coming to town: Ngata, Ray and Reed, superstar in every phase of the defense. YIKES! Major test this week! Is our undersize (by Mudd design) Oline gonna get Trampled by NGata? How will watkins and kelce keep the monster at bay, while not allowing Ray lewis to roam free to make plays? Sink or swim time Vick! play like you played last week, and Ed reed will be the number 1 fantasy player this week. If Ed Reed was a Brown, he would have probably scored 3 touchdowns last week. If Vick plays good AND wins, he will win back the fickle fan base, and get the Foles pressure out the back of his head. Regardless if he admits it, or if its really even warranted, you know Vick is feeling the foles pressure after last week. oUt duel Ed Reed and thats HUGE for Vick and this offense. Fold under pressure, and Reed will embarress you! Hope the eagles can devise a scheme that has Kendricks covering Rice out of the backfield, and Dameco running with the tight ends. Big test this week for the defense. If they are as good as I believe they can be, they will answer the bell at home and put it on the ravens.
The most important game in the history of week 2 football! only in Philly! enjoy the game men!

Marty and Andy have ruined Vicks swagger! Back off and let mike play he is clearly over coached and not given the same respect other QB’s receive from their organization. They paid him only because they had too ,but they still want him to behold to them and be confident at the same time . A QB can’t run a team like that. Marty should really be on the hot seat !

Can’t wait for this match up. This will be a major test for our run D. Also I am looking for our D line to have a great game.

oh yeah! D line will have a good game this week! Its really understated what a good Oline the browns had. Going on the road in week 1 and have to play against that Oline was a Big test, and the eagles handled it well! This Ravens line is not nearly as good as the Browns was, especially at Tackle (young players). Cole was matched up against an absolute stud last week and still performed well. The eagles defensive ends should really make an impact on sunday! Washburn also needs to attack and take advanatage of 36yr old center Matt Birk. After the tough test in week 1 on the road against a good line, I exepect this line to ball out this week at home, and make an impact in this game! Get to Flacco, put him on his back, hit him early and often!
But most importantly, the eagles can not continue to shoot themselves in the foot. We can not win this game if we continue to be undisciplined and have so many penalties and turnovers. If we dont clean up the sloppy mistakes this week…then nothing else matters. All the X’s and O’s in the world, and all the individual player performances wont matter if you continue to have to dig yourself out of self imposed holes. Going into this game, after such a sloppy week 1…if we arent diciplined this week then the Coaching players and the players need to feel the heat. No excuses for dumb mistakes, not against this caliber of an opponent! You dont have to be a hall of fame player to not jump offsides!
