“I tend to stick to classic American staples with a few European elements,” says Adam Hymans, the donor engagement officer for the Philadelphia Foundation. The 29-year-old says he likes to enliven his wardrobe with whimsical or personally meaningful elements, such as offbeat ties and vintage pieces. “One thing that’s important to me is what I call a sense of occasion, honoring the place and the people around you with your clothing,” he says. “I don’t believe in wearing clothing as armor or a way to distance yourself from someone else.”
