Asomugha was not beat on the slant. Cover 2, pattern matchup zone, LB has the 1 receiver breaking inside. Watch the replay. Nnamdi makes no attempt to go with him because that’s not his guy. Just because you line up in front of someone doesn’t mean you end up defending him relative to the scheme.

That may have been why they chose the Game Plan they chose. 56 passes to get Vick some reps he missed in the pre Season against a stellar pass defensive team from last year.

Looked to me the Eagles panicked for some reason and abandoned good judgement, why game plan to throw that many times when you can’t protect your QB? Shady could have run for a duce if given the ball. He ran for a buck 10, and had 30 yards of rushing returned for holding.

Mildly impress with Cox and Boykins, and Kendrick yesterday, the Eagles rookies held their own and made critical plays…. The Cox Sack, the Boykin pass defended, and Kendrick was all over the place in support and making plays…… hats off to Ryans yesterday, his key play was telling Coleman to give himself up after his interception.

Horrible offensive game, but I thought this was a key game for the Rookies and they came through.

I think we watched two of the best Pass Defenses in the NFL This year, the Browns were excellent last year.

Yup, a “w” is still a “w”, regardless of what the fans think or not. I just would have liked to see some growth from the issues of last year. It appears the D made the change, keyword appears, but can we put the focus back on MM and the offense? That was disgraceful…..

Yeah, a lot of the organizational bootlickers and PE.Com teacher’s pets are thumping their chest about the defense’s great 2nd half, but Weeden overthrew Massaquoi on 1 TD, and Alex Smith on another. The Eagles were very fortunate to barely edge out a 4-12 team with a rookie QB having a terrible first game.

The difference between winning and losing in the NFL is that thin, the igg’s aren’t alwasy going to come out on top of those. They should have put away a lesser team in the browns, that has been Reid’s calling card, beat up the puds/then lay a dud

i’m surprised the eagles won this Andy Reid special. this is what he did to Mcnabb so often, throwing 50+ running under 25 times and getting the qb assaulted. usually, the team goes on a serious win streak after the special. let’s see where this leads. . .
