SEE THEIR PRODUCTS

When father-and-son duo Bill and Mitch Stevens started Parable Painting two and a half years ago, they were determined to make all their services—interior and exterior painting, millwork, wood finishing—totally planet-friendly (which means people-friendly, too). So, from base coat to intricate faux finish, Parable uses non-toxic products while creating a polka-dotted room for a 12-year-old girl, or finishing a home bar made of 150-year-old reclaimed chestnut. That they’ve taken the green road means clients get fresh-looking walls, ceilings, wainscots and cedar siding without the fresh-paint smell. Good news for DIYers: Mitch’s brother Bill recently opened Ethos Healthy Paints & Wall Coverings in Bucks County, where you can buy the paints and tools the Stevenses use.
