The Main Line Jazz and Food Festival is back for its fourth year in Wayne, with some of the area's finest jazz talent in tow. Now, we know that New Orleans and jazz go hand-in-hand. But don't count out the City of Brotherly Love — Philly's played its role in the history of the genre. Our city boasts an impressive list of legendary jazz musicians, including saxophonists Charlie Ventura and Stan Getz, scat singer and trumpet player Dizzy Gillespie, and the famed John Coltrane. And though you may not be able to listen live to those guys these days, this weekend's your chance to see the region's best current jazz performers. This Friday through Saturday festival-goers can stop by different eateries and sample signature dishes from the Main Line's finest restaurants, while listening to the live music. On Sunday, the street closes for some 30 restaurants' worth of street bistro fare. Now, who said you had to visit Dixieland to hear good jazz?

June 1st and 2nd: 6 p.m. to 1 a.m., June 3rd: noon to 5 p.m., Free.; mainlinejazz.com.
