Won't be returning to Station House
Posted by | Oct. 1, 2007 at 2:06 PM
COMMENT:
My fiance and I love Philly, its food, and its magazine. We tried the Station House in Haddon Heights for breakfast Saturday and were extremely dissapointed. We got our menus and were seated, and weren't seen by anyone for another 15 minutes. Finally, after the staff loudly argued over who would have to take Table 12 (us) one of the teenagers who staffed the restaurant arrived and we ordered. When the food was ready, another teen brought the cold biscuits and gravy amd the "Home-Run Hotcakes" I ordered, which came out to be plain old pancakes, and asked "What else do you want?" I almost felt as though I would be yelled at if I asked for sugar to put in my tea and syrup to go with the incorrect pancake order.
Philly Magazine or Suburb Magazine?

COMMENT:
I'm extremely dissapointed that Philly Magazine consistently runs so many articles and "Best Of's" that feature suburban towns outside of Philly. Aren't you guys missing the point? It is PHILLY Magazine right? Not "Philly Metro" Magazine...I mean, the reason I read your publication is because I'm interested in what there is to do in the city, suburban towns - you guys are definitely reaching...for mediocrity and (I guess) a suburban readership.

me and my husband frequently pass by this cozy, homey looking restaurant a couple times of week but never had the time to stop in.. after reading the aritcle in philly mag about it and hearing the locals rave about its great food and how nice the manager and staff are, we had to stop in. the food was AWESOME, everyone was so friendly and even though it was extremely busy, everything was still as good as ive heard and read. definitley returning next weekend!! TRY IT
great food, great experience, great time

I return to the station house every weekend with my boyfriend, and each time i go there teh food is just as great, the servers are extremely friendly and the manager is always coming out and saying hello to everyone in the restaurant. you can really tell this staff cares about its customers and you feel that homey vibe as soon as you step in the restaurant, weird to hear anything bad about this place, ive been over 20 times and never once have i had an experience like the one listed above, its hard to believe. try it for yourself and take my word as a frequent customer, its great each time.
my favorite place to go on the weekends

each weekend my husband and i head over to the station house for some breakfast on sundays and lunch on saturdays, we LOVE it. the food is ALWAYS incredible, there's always creative delicious specials each day served by friendly servers. The manager, Keri, always comes out and takes the time to talk to us and ask all her customers how we are, she really cares about her customers and their happiness which reflects in the food and the servers attitude. we LOVE this place, truly never a bad experience. keep it up station house crew :)

Looks like Station House got worried about the bad comment and had 3 written within 5 minutes to try to compensate, you should have done 1 write up a day, it would have been less obvious. I have been to this place as well the first post was dead on! Service was soo slow and really uncaring! We only went once to turn us off!

Thai L'Elephant in Phoenixville

We travel far and wide to sample Thai cuisine. Thai L'elephant in Phoenixville is perhaps our favorite. Great food, ambience and presentation. Seems that the chef has been quietly winning awards for years and has been involved in many successful Thai restaurants. It is surely worth a visit. click here

do you people seriously have nothing to do than write negative comments on a restaurant you've been to once? you should have better things to do than write bad things about a restaurant, dont go back if you didnt like it that much for a certain reason, dont be rude and ruin other peoples curiousity who wanna give this place a shot for themselves based on the local reputation of this (which has been great since ive moved to heights) , i took my mother there for mothers day on their busiest day of the year which was our first time and everything was great for us, and we've been back a number of times and have had the same good experience. get a life and realize every business has bad days, thats just ignorant.

I've been going to this place for about 2 years now - quite frankly, it's the only redeeming and worthwhile thing that Lindenwold has to offer. Well worth it!

Absolutely agree with comment on this wonderful Thai restaurant. Went there because we had a coupon and ended up being our favorite Thai spot. Wonderful food, service and ambience every time!
