Philadelphia Allergy Doctors

The 2009 Top Doctors who can get you through spring sniffle-free

YOUR PROBLEM: YOUR ALLERGIES ARE DISRUPTING YOUR DAILY LIFE

THE ALLERGIST:
John Cohn, MD, Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, specializing in asthma, allergic rhinitis, voice disorders and allergies

HIS GAME PLAN:
Setting the bar high. “We can work to make it so you don’t have to be an allergy sufferer,” says Dr. Cohn, who stresses that over-the-counter meds can only do so much. “Those not getting the relief should explore stronger, long-term medications or weekly allergy shots by visiting an allergist,” says Cohn.

HIS BACKGROUND:
Dr. Cohn has practiced at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital since 1982 and currently serves as Professor of Medicine at Jefferson Medical College, head of the adult allergy section and president of the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital medical staff. His passion for allergy developed when his first-born daughter began struggling with them.

WAITING ROOM STATS:
Dr. Cohn only accepts new patients who have been referred from another physician. Don’t be surprised to wait 2-4 weeks to be penciled in, especially during allergy season.
