This summer, 18th Street, just south of Market Street, will be a hotbed for eating and drinking fun, what with the Tria Wine Garden opening in the old Brodo space, doing with wine what every open space in Philly does with beer.

And hot on its heels: Green Eggs Cafe’s first Center City, west-of-Broad location.

CBRE Real Estate’s Nick Quinn told Foobooz that the bruncherie famous for its over-the-top breakfast creations (fat, stacked red velvet pancakes the size of a literal cake) and long lines will open a new location at 31 South 18th Street “with plenty of outdoor seating” two doors down down from where Tria plans to set up shop. Work on the space starts next week.

In addition to its three Philadelphia locations (South Philly, Northern Liberties and Midtown Village), Green Eggs also has a Miami outpost. And coming next month, it’ll add another shore brunch at Keenan’s Irish Pub in North Wildwood (113 Olde New Jersey Avenue) — at first, weekends-only through May, and after Memorial Day weekend, every day, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., till Labor Day weekend.
